How To Become An Advanced Scuba Diver

Once you have become a certified Scuba diver you will find a whole new world opens up to you. Your Scuba Diver certification only permits you to dive in conditions similar to that in which you were trained. After a while you will probably want to try new and exciting dives. Dives you may like to try might include deep, wreck or night diving. You may like to try your hand at underwater photography or search and recovery.Advance Diver

Each of these requires extra knowledge, equipment and skills for the dives to be safe and enjoyable for you. By participating in an Advanced course you can safely experience a variety of diving. You will find these dives safe and more enjoyable as you will have a chance to learn the necessary skills and knowledge, be properly equipped and in the company of one of our professional Instructors.

The Advanced Diver is a diver who has 4 specialty courses and 25 dives logged. The specialty courses must include the Navigation and Limited Visibility courses.

The SSI Advanced Diver has a combination of learning and experience. It is recognized as one of the highest qualifications for Advanced Diver in the Industry. Here you do not do an “Advanced Diver Course” prior to starting specialties.

The SSI Advanced Diver Course is the specialties combined with experience. If you follow this path, you are saving money. There is no pre-requisite course required prior to starting your specialty program.
