AllWays Diving Nitrox Course
How To Become A Nitrox Diver
You need to first be a qualified Scuba Diver to be able to become a Nitrox Diver. The course runs over a two day period. The first day is spent in the classroom learning about the benefits, danger

s and fun of Nitrox diving. This will make your diving safer and more fun. The second day is spent doing two dives on a mixed gas. The dives need to be repetitive and are conducted in the open water for you to obtain your certification.
What Is Nitrox?
Nitrox is a breathing mixture, which can be used when diving instead of normal compressed air. Normally air is made up of 20% oxygen and 80% nitrogen. With Nitrox those percentages are altered, depending on the depth and time for the dive. There is a misconception that Nitrox is designed for deep dive, however this is not true. Nitrox is intended for normal recreational diving, to make diving safer.
The Nitrox Diver course is a specialty course. You can do this course after you have attained Scuba Diver certification.
What Are The Benefits?
There are a number of benefits in completing a Nitrox Diver course and using Nitrox. These benefits include extended dive time, a reduced risk of Decompression Sickness and reduced fatigue. You do not necessarily need special equipment to use Nitrox. Apart from the scuba tank the equipment needs only to be in good serviced condition, if the oxygen percentage is kept under 40%. The Nitrox course is very interesting and will make your diving safer and more enjoyable.
